J.M. Chandler

CHANDLER, J. M., Enlisted in the service of the Confederate States of America on the 15th day of April, 1861, and served "Honorably" as a "Private" in Company "A", 8th Arkansas, "West Point Arkansas" Volunteers, C.S.A. He was at his time of enlistment a resident of White County, Arkansas. He was "Honorably" discharged from said Confederate service on the 17th day of April, 1865. At which time he held the rank of "Private". (Obtained from "Southern Cross of Honor" application…his writing). Received a Confederate pension from the State of Texas. Pension # 37334.
