Michael Granger

GRANGER, MICHAEL, Enlisted in the service of the Confederate States of America in February, 1862, and served “Honorably” as a “Private” in Company “I”, “Burnett’s Regiment of “Infantry” “Dismounted Cavalry”, “Flowernaughts”, “Walker’s Division”, C.S.A. He was at his time of enlistment a resident of Orange County, Texas. He was “Honorably” discharged from said Confederate service in May, 1865, by Captain S. A. Fairchild, of that regiment “13th” “Texas Infantry”, at which time he held the rank of “Private”. (Obtained from “Southern Cross of Honor” application…his writing). Received a Confederate pension from the State of Texas. Pension # 10445. (note: Company “I” was formed in Orange County, Texas.)
