COOPER, FRANK M.(Francis), (Buried: Plot 2; Evergreen Cemetery), Born: 10th day of June, 1844. Deceased: 16th day of January, 1922. Enlisted in the service of the Confederate States of America in May, 1862, and served "Honorably" as a "Private" in Company "F", Dailey’s Regiment, "Ragsdale’s Company", C.S.A. He was at his time of enlistment a resident of Orange County, Texas. He was "Honorably" discharged from said Confederate service on the 25th day of May, 1865, by Colonel Dailey at Hempstead, Texas., at which time he held the rank of "Private". (Obtained from "Southern Cross of Honor" application…his writing). Received a Confederate Pension from the State of Texas. Pension # 10174.
