Albert Casey

Albert Casey of Jacksonville, Texas enlisted in Company K, 18th Texas Infantry, as a private. He was in the Battle of Bourbeau Bayou, La., in 1863 and was wounded at the Battle of Pleasant Hill, La. He said"I experienced all the hardships incident to long marches in Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas, and was at Hempstead, Texas at the surrender of Gen. Walker's Division in 1865.
