Track Rules

NORTH HOUSTON SPEEDWAY

TO ALL MEMBERS AND GUESTS:

The purpose of these rules is to provide a friendly atmosphere for both racers and spectators. Although these are called *rules*, they should be considered more as courtesy and safety guidelines.

1. Only club members, prospective members, and out of area guests, with current QSAC or ROAR memberships are to utilize the racing facility.

2. Non-racing guests and spectators are welcome to watch the track activities from the supplied stands or along the course perimeter fence. The pits and racing areas are off-limits to all spectators and non-racing children.

3. Parents are to take responsibility for the conduct of their children.

4. Only hobby-class R/C (radio controlled) cars are permitted at the racing facility. Please see one of the club officers to determine if your car is approved for racing.

5. All competing cars will be subject to technical inspections. Technical inspections may result in the complete disassembly and inspection of your motor. Technical violations will result in disqualification.

6. R/C cars are to be operated only on the racetrack. Motor tuning is allowed outside of the pit area as long as the cars are on stationary work stands. Please keep safety in mind when tuning motors. Noise and eye protection should be used if applicable.

7. Use extreme caution when fueling cars. Hot engines and mufflers could ignite fuel on contact. Fuel spills must be wiped up immediately!

8. FREQUENCY CONTROL is by the use of *Frequency Badges* hanging on a board near the pit area. Racers are to take the badge bearing the number that matches your transmitter frequency number and place your *Pit Pass* badge or temporary clothes pin with your name and frequency number printed on it on the board where your frequency badge came from. Under no circumstances are you to turn on a transmitter until you have your corresponding frequency badge in hand. Courtesy in rotating the frequency badges is up to the racers. Racers must return all frequency badges as soon as you are done running your car. Violators of the Frequency Control will be held financially responsible for any damages incurred to another racer*s property during such violation. Excessive violation of this rule may terminate a racer*s club membership. A mandatory radio impound may be enforced during high-attendance races.

9. The pits and racing facility are to be kept neat and clean. Please discard all trash in trash cans or dumpsters. Cigarette butts are not to be discarded on the ground!

10. Racers are responsible for the security of their own equipment and property.

11. Inappropriate or offensive language or comments are not allowed. Violators may be asked to leave the premises.

12. Alcoholic beverages and / or drugs are not to be consumed by any registered racer while at the racing facility. Violators will be disqualified from their registered events.

LET'S ALL BE COURTEOUS AND SAFE.
