Dream of:14 April 2012 "Imminent Destruction"
sometimes you can't escape even when you see it coming
I was on my father's hilly 388 acre Farm in Gallia County, Ohio. Another fellow was with me, and he and I were busily descending the hill in back of the Farmhouse, picking up things from the barn at the bottom of the hill, and carrying them back up to the Farmhouse. As we were doing so, I began to notice that the sky was growing dark and I began wondering if a tornado might possibly be coming. The next time that we made it to the top of the hill, I walked around to the front of the Farmhouse and was astonished to see two thick tornadoes on the northern horizon. They were just on the other side of the hill in front of the Farmhouse and they were approaching fast.
I raced into the Farmhouse. My paternal grandmother Mabel (who died in 1997 at the age of 89 after having lived much of her later life on the Farm) was sitting in the front bedroom and working on something, perhaps at a sewing machine. I hollered out to her that the tornadoes were coming, but she did not seem concerned. I thought we still had time to reach the basement where we would probably be protected if a tornado hit the Farmhouse. Suddenly however the tornado slammed into the Farmhouse. I was standing in the living room and I looked in at my grandmother who was still sitting in the chair in the bedroom. As the white walls and the ceiling started to crumble around me, I tried to run to the basement, but I could not move. It seemed that some kind of suction from the tornado was holding me back and I knew I was not going to be able to escape. My only hope was that the Farmhouse did not completely collapse on me or that the collapse somehow missed me, because I definitely was not going to be able to make it to the shelter of basement.
