Dream of: 30 June 2011 "Mexican Scenery"

I was riding in the backseat of a car which was being driven by my mother (around 40 years old). My sister (only six or seven years old) was also in the car. I realized that we were in a scenic area of Mexico and I was enjoying the view from the car. The ocean was on one side of the street and hundreds of little shops lined the other side. When I noticed some large statues, I tried to figure out exactly where we were by looking at the statues, but they didn't help.

I was amazed by the number of people who were walking around everywhere and by how young most of them were. Fruit (I noticed tangerines) was being sold in many of the shops. There were so many shops, I was sure there weren't enough customers for all the shops. I figured that some people stayed in the shops all day long and didn't sell anything. The owners probably ended up eating much (if not all) of the food themselves.

My mother finally pulled up to a shop on the left of the car. She wanted to buy something without getting out of the car, but she couldn't seem to make up her mind about what she wanted, and finally she pulled out. She was driving fast and I was afraid she might hit someone because so many people were in the street. I told her to slow down.

She started driving up a hill which still had shops along the road. I wanted to stop, but my mother continued to drive further and further up the hill. When we reached the top of the hill, the road abruptly ended in front of a steep drop-off. I was afraid that my mother wasn't going to stop in time and that we would go over the edge. I screamed at her to stop, which she did. I then hollered at her to back up and it looked as if she were going to do so.
