Dream of:14 December 2010 "Rick Jonami"
I was sitting in the yard of an attractive house in a residential area. A woman (around 30 years old) wearing a white sweater and otherwise all dressed in white was sitting on my left. Since I was getting along well with her, I laid my arm on the top of the couch behind her. I identified her as one of my old high school schoolmates, Jean Ann. I hadn't seen her in years and I really didn't know what to talk about, but I was enjoying her company. Finally she stood up.
Quite a few other people were gathered in the yard. When a couple other girls (only about 20 years old) ran across the street to another house, Jean Ann went with them.
A fellow (about 25 years old) seated at a dinette table with a glass top seemed to be working on something. I walked up to him and held out my hand to shake. He started talking and I asked him if I knew him. He said, no, then he told me his name was "Rick Jonami." I told him I had heard the name before. I sat down and entered a pleasant conversation with him. I asked him if he lived in the area and he said he did. I told him it was a pleasant area for someone who liked living in town. For myself, I was thinking of moving back to the Gallia County Farm where I could live in the country far away from people.
Some food was lying on the table. The fellow said something about canning it. I asked him if he had a garden and he replied, "Yea."
I said, "That's nice."
I told him I had been thinking about how few people raised gardens anymore and I mentioned that I had canned some food one summer. I remembered the summer on the Farm when I had gone through the extensive process of canning vegetable soup. I told the fellow it had been over 20 years ago. But then I stopped, thought, and realized it had been more than 20 years ago. I reflected that I was now 58 years old. I said, "Its been over 30 years ago."
It was hard to believe I had canned the soup so long ago.
My voice was soft, almost feeble. I was still enjoying myself, but I really didn't know what to say to anyone.
