The following is an actual dream included in my dream journal, and does not describe actual facts

Dream of: 30 April 2008 "Burglarized"

I was riding in the back seat of a car which my father was driving. Sitting next to me on my right was Stephanie (a black-haired woman about 30 years old who sometimes stayed in the house next to the 17th Street House). I was telling my father and Stephanie about some small lakes I had recently visited in the country. As I talked, my face moved ever closer to Stephanie's until our lips lightly touched. I was uncertain I actually wanted to kiss Stephanie, but I nevertheless enjoyed the brief feel of her lips.

My father pulled into the driveway of the 17th Street House. As soon as I stepped out of the car I realized the door to the House was ajar. I quickly walked inside and discovered the place in disarray. Obviously the house had been burglarized. I walked through the rooms, taking inventory. The two lamps of human figures in the living room were still there, but obviously some things were missing. My couch with the large carved eagle on the back had been taken. I rushed upstairs and discovered my stereo system was gone.

When I came back downstairs, several other people had shown up and were gathered in the living room. My second cousin Don was among them. As I looked over the living room, I was surprised by how neat everything looked, and as I further scrutinized the place, I realized nothing was missing. Even the couch with the eagle was still there. The furniture in the room, however, had been completely rearranged. Someone obviously had come into the House and taken the time to move the furniture and clean up the place. I couldn't figure out why anyone would do such a thing.

The other people in the room were growing impatient to leave. As we all stood to walk out, Don commented on the arrangement of the furniture and made a couple suggestions about how I could change a few things to make the room more attractive. I was still preoccupied, however, with the quandary of why anyone would have come in my house and rearranged the furniture.
