Dream of:28 June 2007 (3) "Smell Of Alcohol"
I woke up in bed with my ex-wife Carolina (about 30 years old) and looked at the clock which said 9:30. I asked her what time she was supposed to be at work and she said, "8:30." I realized that I was in a house where Carolina was living and that she needed to get up and go to work. I asked her if her husband were here, and she said, "No."
I couldn't understand how I had ended up here. I thought I must have been waiting here when Carolina had come home last night. She said that her husband Sal had gotten her drunk last night and that while she had been drunk, she had come home and climbed into bed.
She finally stood up and walked out of the room, but she quickly returned and told me that her husband was in the house. I immediately became very alarmed and I tried to figure out what I would do if he came in. I might hide in the closet or under the bed, I wasn't sure. I didn't want to confront him.
My pet Dalmatian Picasso was also in the room with us. I realized if Sal saw Picasso, he would know I had been here. But I wasn't sure if Picasso would cause a problem because it seemed as if I had arranged to leave Picasso with Carolina for a while. So maybe Picasso's presence was anticipated.
I told Carolina she should go back out there and distract Sal so I could climb out the window and leave. I tried to think of somewhere where she and I could later meet. I suggested Bennigan's (a restaurant), but she said no, that her husband might be there. I thought perhaps we could meet at the library.
Carolina and I eventually ended up sitting together in a church which still seemed like the interior of Carolina's house, and I was still trying to figure out how to get out of here. The place was full of people and Carolina's husband worked here in this church. Dressed in a white/beige suit, he walked in and walked up and down the aisles. Even though I was sitting close to Carolina, he didn't recognize me. He finally walked up to Carolina and said something about "Mr. Collins.. Apparently Carolina had told him that my name was "Collins."
He stepped closer to me and he smelled alcohol on me. Indeed, I had had a drink earlier. He shook his head as if I had done something terrible. Since I knew he wouldn't want anyone who had been drinking to be in the church, I saw my chance: I stood up and said I would leave. I overheard a woman tell him that they had anticipated this kind of thing and that they would simply have to deal with it.
I walked outside and headed down a bank. I planned to take off running, but I ended up in a wooded area with houses all around. The trees were huge and gigantic roots protruded above the ground.
I was wearing a jacket and I could feel something moving in the left sleeve of my jacket. A big snake crawled out the sleeve. I stopped, put my foot on the snake and pulled it out. I then headed up an incline though the forest, intent on escaping as quickly as I could, before Sal realized who I was and came after me.
As I continued through the woods I tried to remember where Carolina and I had agreed to meet. I couldn't remember if we had reached an agreement. I thought perhaps I could call her and leave a message on her phone, although I wasn't sure I could do that. Maybe she would call me and leave a message. I just wasn't sure where we would meet.
