Dream of: 30 October 2006 "Cinderella"

Picasso and I were riding on a bus, going in a loop which took about an hour each time, so every hour we ended up back at the same bus station. I had piled up a bunch of my possessions at the bus station -- boxes and luggage -- which were a bit in the way of the bus when it would pull into the station. A blue board game box with the word "Cinderella" written in white letters across it was in the pile.

Peggy (about 30 years old) was sitting in the back of the bus. I didn't speak to her, but I felt a bit ashamed to see that silly board game out there in my pile and I hoped she didn't notice it. I decided I would get off the bus and move my stuff out of the way. After the driver stepped off the bus, I also got off. The driver stepped back onto the bus and pulled off. That didn't bother me, because I thought he would be back. I suddenly realized, however, that this was lunch time, and that the bus wouldn't return for three hours. I didn't know what to do. I thought perhaps I could get in a car and chase the bus down. The idea seemed silly -- Peggy would see me and think I was idiotic.

I was most worried about Picasso. I thought perhaps Peggy would see Picasso and out of the kindness of her heart she would take care of him until the bus returned. Three hours would be a long time to wait, but I saw little alternative. I didn't know if I could wait that long, I would be so worried about Picasso.
