Fuzzyant, all dreams without exception carry beneficial messages. This is the fundamental nature of dreams, the sine qua non. Where those messages are coming from, however, is the $64,000 question. I am sceptical of all claims of actual connection of dreams with reality, I mean that the dreamer has contact with the real world while dreaming (except for some sensory sensations). Out of body experience - don't buy it. Seeing the future - nonsense.

Fuzzyant, although I have recorded hundreds of dreams in which dead people have appeared, I definitely couldn't claim to have had actual contact with the dead. Now if my dead grandmother would turn up in a dream and tell me where she had buried some money, and I actually found it, that's the kind of proof I'm looking for. That doesn't seem to be happening. I tend to put this contact with the dead idea in the same class as experiencing past lives in dreams. If one of my former selves told me where the gold was actually buried, I'd turn into a believer. Until then, the past life idea stays on the shelf. Similarly with OBE. I could only believe something like that if I were able to verify it in reality. Or visions of the actual future. I most adamantly do not believe in that, because the future simply does not exist to be viewed. These concepts fall into the same category as talking animals, turning into an animal, flying,  passing through solid objects and all the other magic that occurs in dreams, but not in reality.

All dreams without exception carry beneficial messages. This is the fundamental nature of dreams, the sine qua non.

Fuzzyant, although I have dreamed of the dead many times, at present I would have to say that I have never had proof of any actual contact with the dead in any of my dreams. Now if my dead grandmother would turn up in a dream and tell me where she had buried some money, and I actually found it, that's the kind of proof I'm looking for. I wouldn't however say that my dreams of the dead have not carried messages. It seems to me that all dreams carry messages and dreams of the dead can carry particularly potent ones. And I do not completely discard the possibility that a message might actually come from a dead person. I just don't have any proof of that and I would tend to think that all dreams come from the same source and that the dead people in our dreams are merely symbols used by the source to convey the dream's message. But my mind is still open on that important issue.
