Dream of: 03 October 2002 "As If In A Church"
I was driving a white car, transporting my mother and three or four other people (mostly black people whom I had picked up and whom I didn't know) on a city street with cars parked on both sides. Suddenly a car spun out of control in front of us. As I passed by the car, I realized an icy patch was on the road there, and I also spun out of control. I spun around twice in the street, barely missed a couple cars, and finally came to a stop without hitting anything. I could hardly believe what had happened. Everyone in the car was relieved. More cautiously, I again began driving.
We passed a building which I identified as a Russian Embassy. When a man wearing a Russian-style cap walked out of the building, I pointed out the man to my mother and said, "Russian." I told her that the building was the Russian Embassy.
I continued driving until I reached a fork in the road, with one road going up a hill and the other going down the hill. When I stopped the car and asked someone which way to go, the person told me I could go either way. Since snow lay on the road going up the hill, I took the lower road (which also had snow on it). I continued along until we were no longer on the road, but were traveling over the tops of trees, not even in the car, but simply swinging over the trees. Suddenly a song came to my mind and I began singing, "I looked over Jordan and what did I see. Coming for to carry me home. A band of angels coming after me. Coming for to carry me home."
As I sang a couple more verses, I began slowly but surely swinging down the trees, closer and closer to the ground. When I finally reached the ground, a man stepped up to me and indicated I should stop singing. I looked around and saw many people gathered around me. It looked as if they were having a religious service, as if in a church. I now saw that I was in a huge building. I began walking down the corridor of the building, trying to figure out where I was going.
