Dream of: 20 September 2002 "Wind Rhyme Road"

My mother and I had stopped on Wolfe Run Road, about three kilometers from the Gallia County Farm, in the area where the old Tommy Mossburger house used to stand (but it looked more like the spot on Symmes Creek Road where Turkey Evans' house use to stand about one kilometer from the Farm). We were sitting in the driveway which led up to the lot where the house used to stand. My father now owned this little piece of land of three or four acres.

I liked the seclusion here. My mother (about 60 years old) and I got out of the car. We had set up a little black grill (about waist high) and we intended to grill some food. As I was working on the grill, a sheriff pulled up in a black SUV. The heavy-set sheriff (about 40 years old, with a black beard), dressed in his sheriff's uniform,  stepped out of the car about two meters from me and began looking around on the ground. I thought he might be looking for evidence of drugs. Somewhat offended, I stepped up close to him and asked him if I could help him. He looked at me and asked me if I knew anything about "Wind Rhyme Road." Apparently that was the name my father had given to this little lane, but I didn't know anything about it. I told him I had never heard the name Wind Rhyme before. I added, "But I'm Steve Collier. My father owns this property."

He looked at me and said, "So, you're Steve Collier."

I said, "Yea."

I had the definite feeling he knew who I was. I thought it was possible that he and I had gone to school together when I had attended school in Gallia County years ago. He didn't say anything else. He stepped back. It looked as if he were going to give me a bit of a hassle.
