Dream of: 06 April 2001 "Statues In Chillicothe"

I was working at a temporary job in an office building in downtown Chillicothe. I recalled how I had worked in Chillicothe for the U.S. Census Bureau in 1980, and I realized this was the second time I had worked here; I knew the town fairly well by now.

When it was time for my lunch break, I looked out the window, trying to decide where I would go for lunch. Across the street was an imposing white-stone building which sported huge columns and wide stone steps. At first I thought the building was a courthouse, but then decided it must be a bank. I liked to visit buildings like this and I decided I would walk over there on my lunch break.

I invited a red-haired woman (about 30 years old) who was one of my co-workers to go with me. Once before she had gone with me to visit a building. I also invited a man in a suit who was a co-worker. I explained to the man that I liked to visit different buildings in a town so I would feel as if I knew the town when I finally left.

I also explained that I especially liked to go into buildings which housed statues, as I suspected the building across the street did. Most towns had many statues which the inhabitants of the town never saw. I explained, "There's always a lot of statues a town has that people never see."
