I had gone to visit Weinstein. He looked about 30 years old and he had a black beard. A woman wearing a dress was also in the apartment. I sat down on a bed which had two levels – one about 15 centimeters lower than the other; I sat on the lower level. I reflected that I didn't see Weinstein much any more; perhaps I should call him once a month – just for a few minutes – to keep in touch. I told Weinstein that before I had come to see him, I had first visited Upton ( a fellow I had known when I had gone to high school); but Weinstein didn't seem interested. Through the window of Weinstein's apartment I could see the yellow arches of a McDonalds restaurant outside.
