Dream of: 24 March 1999 "Mexico"
I was visiting
Ramey at his large comfortable house in Ohio. He was very happy to see me again, and I was glad to see him. He even suggested I might want to stay here and live in this house with him.We sat down in the living room and I thought about his proposal. I definitely liked the house, and I could appreciate having a secure place to live without having to worry about anything for a while.
Ramey was so accommodating, he even began feeding me. He had sat down next to me on the couch, and had begun to feed me from a bowl of macaroni which he was holding. This wasn't bad at all. If I lived here, I wouldn't have to worry about anything. But somehow, I just didn't think it was meant to be, and I was already feeling restless, as if I needed to be moving on.

I traveled on, headed west in the direction of California. The area where I soon found myself resembled the wild west, with men dressed up like frontiersmen marching around. We were all standing close to a beautiful large lake. One man decided to go swimming. He was standing on a high bank which slopped down to the edge of the lake. From the top of the bank he leaped into the air toward the water. But he misjudged and with a thud hit the bank short of the water. He lay on the bank without moving.
I found it hard to believe the fellow had actually missed the water. If I had been diving, I certainly wouldn't have missed. I could just imagine what it would be like to dive head-first into the cool lake, to feel myself surrounded by the water.
I liked it here, but I still didn't feel comfortable and I knew I needed to travel on.

Somewhere in central Mexico I stopped again. Almost immediately I knew this was the place for which I had been searching. I was in a small village, surrounded by brown countryside. I wasn't even sure whether the village had telephone service. But I had been planning this move for a while, and I thought I would be able to use a satellite dish to hook up to a connection to the outside world. I would even be able to connect to the internet over the satellite.
It was amazing how comfortable I felt here, how sure I was this was where I belonged. I didn't know why it had taken me so long to get here.
