Dream of: 27 March 1998 "Diab"

My father had a new girlfriend named Kathy. I had never seen her before, but I had heard she often liked to prance around naked in front of people. Since she was supposed to be young and attractive, I was looking forward to meeting her. I thought if she decided to disrobe in front of me, I might even reciprocate and take off all my clothes in front of her.

I was sitting in the living room of the Gay Street House when someone knocked at the back door. I walked back to see who was there, and when I reached the door, although I had never seen her before, I immediately recognized the woman at the door as Kathy. She was probably in her late 20s and quite attractive. She had long dark hair and a seductive figure. The two of us struck up an amiable conversation.

When my father returned home, I was sitting alone in the living room. He looked as if he were about 40 years old and he seemed to be in good health. After he had plopped down on a chair close to me, I opened up a conversation with him. I asked him what he thought about the many recent changes in his life. For instance, I had heard he was going to sell the Gay Street House; what did he think about that? He didn't respond. I mentioned that he was also going to give up his insurance business. He quickly and gruffly responded that that wasn't true, that he had no intention of quitting the insurance business.

I mentioned another big change in his life: my sister and I had moved away from home. He sarcastically replied that that was certainly true as far as I was concerned, implying that I had simply moved away and abandoned him. I didn't say anything else about it.

He picked up the conversation and began talking about my first cousin Alan. He asked me if I knew the correct size of the "diab" for Alan. I was unsure what he meant at first, but then recalled that the word "diab" referred to the size of a bowling ball. I thought the word might have come from "diameter," but I was unsure. It appeared that my father wanted to buy Alan a new bowling ball for his birthday, but I was no help – I had no idea what Alan's diab was.
