Dream of: 05 May 1997 "Modern Songs"
I was just about to throw away a letter which I had received, when I noticed that a second letter was attached to the bottom of the first letter. The second letter was written in blue ink, in sloppy long-hand. As I began reading the letter, I realized it was from Jacobs. It had been quite a long while since I had communicated with Jacobs. I began reading a section where he talked of how his father had died of malnourishment. Then I came to a section where he had written the words to a song, "A B C, Look at me, Easy as one two three ...." Reading the lines, I began thinking how modern songs were really a form of poetry.
