Dream of: 17 April 1995 (2) "Nightmares All Night Long"
When I awoke, I was in a hurry because I realized I was supposed to meet someone downtown this morning. Sleeping in the same room with me was a woman (about 50 years old) whom I identified as my grandmother Leacy, even though she didn't look like Leacy. She was quite obese and was black. As she stood and walked around the room, I asked her how she had slept. She said she kept having nightmares all night long.
I was quickly ready to go; I walked out into the hallway. But I remembered I had forgotten something in the room, and I turned around to go back in. Back inside I saw that I was leaving the place in a bit of a disorder. But I couldn't help it. It was already 8:30 and I was supposed to meet a black fellow downtown at 9:00. I was already going to be late. But I thought he would wait for me, just as I would do for him if he were late.
I noticed I had forgotten to eat some fish which had been prepared for me and which was sitting on the table. It was a whole fried fish, including the head and bones, about ten inches long. I picked it up and bit off some meat near the tail. I then pulled up with my teeth all the meat on one side of the fish and quickly ate it. I noticed how thin the fish was. I did the same thing to the other side, so that all that was left was the bones. I threw the bones away, and decided to quickly clean up a bit of the rest of the mess. I picked up a bottle of ketchup and a camera which I had left on a coffee table in the middle of the living room. Then I was ready to leave.
Before I could get out of the door, Carolina stopped me and said she needed $1,000. I pulled out my wallet to give her the money, but saw that I only had about $500. I remembered I had had a thousand dollar bill, but I had broken it. She asked me where I was going and I told her I was going to meet the black fellow and that we might go to a movie. From where we were standing, through a window, we could see a building with the names of about ten movies written on it. I noticed one of them was a classic black and white cartoon about a little black boy. I wrote down the names of some of the movies, but none of them looked that interesting.
Before I left, I told Carolina that there was some black sludge in the back of my pickup truck, and I would like for her to clean it out. I could see a picture of the sludge in my mind, which looked like thick sewage. I thought it had bits of nuts chopped up in it.
