Dream of: 13 April 1995 "Bird With A Mouse"

My friend Wheat, his wife Melanie, and I had gone to an academy awards presentation being held in Dallas. I was surprised that we were able to get seats at the last minute. It appeared that because the awards had never been held in Dallas before, and not very many people knew that seats were available, few people had tried to reserve them.

Melanie was sitting next to me on my right and Wheat was sitting on the other side of her. I gradually realized she had moved so close to me that she was actually taking up half of my seat, but I didn't really mind because I rather enjoyed feeling her body pressed close to mine. However, she finally saw what she was doing and she stood up to rearrange the way we were sitting. I also stood up, and when we both retook our seats, we were actually lying down next to each other across the two seats. Wheat didn't even seem to notice what was going on as Melanie pulled a blue cover over us.

By now it seemed obvious that Melanie wanted to be as close to me as possible, and I concluded that she wanted to have some sexual contact. I moved one of my hands toward her pubic region, and encountering no resistance continued until I was able to feel her pubic hairs. It appeared that she wasn't wearing anything below the waist – an obvious sign that she wanted to engage in sex. However, she soon stopped me and she said I was going too far. I thought she was only concerned that Wheat might notice, with his being so close.

I moved my hand up over her body toward her breasts. She was only wearing a small white bra, but her breasts were so small, they held little interest for me. Almost as soon as I had touched them, she again said I was going too far, and she stopped me.

Melanie and I were in a house in the country. Through large windows I could see the surrounding countryside all around. There appeared to be no furniture in the house, and it looked as if someone were just moving in.

I knew Wheat was lurking around somewhere, and I didn't want him to see me with Melanie. I knew she wanted to kiss me and I wanted to kiss her. I tried to find a spot where we couldn't be seen through the windows. I put my arms around her and pulled her close to me to kiss, but just when I started, I looked up and saw a chubby boy (about 15 years old) walk into the room. I recognized him as someone who knew both Wheat and me, and I was immediately concerned that he would tell Wheat what he had seen.

As he stood looking at us, I tried to dissemble our activity, but he had clearly seen, and he asked what was going on. Melanie and I continued holding one arm around each other's back, with the hand of each slipped down slightly inside the pants of the other in back. I tried to be nonchalant, as if to say we were nothing more than friends.

I diverted everyone's attention to the window to the outside, where several different kinds of birds were flying. I specifically pointed out a hummingbird hovering just outside the window. Another bird was flying low across the field carrying a mouse in its beak. I was impressed by the large variety of birds. It seemed as if this was a yet unspoiled area where many species of birds still thrived.

I also noticed several flying insects which intrigued me. One fluorescent green bug flying around the house especially caught my attention.

The main attraction, however, was a large duck which landed not far from the house. The duck picked up a mass of sticks in its beak and began flying through the air. I pointed it out to the others and everyone began watching it. As we watched, the sticks seemed to increase in size until they looked like small logs. The duck also was somehow carrying what appeared to be an oversized dog house. The load finally became so burdensome, the duck had to land just outside the window. Obviously the duck was carrying all the items for a nest, which it intended to make inside the oversized dog house.

I turned back to the people in the house. Another fellow had joined us: Wheat's younger brother. He was probably in his late teens; he was talking about a trip he had made for a couple weeks last year to Boston. I thought he was also intending to travel to Boston again this year; I told him I might like to join him. I thought to myself that since my friendship with Wheat had ended, I found Wheat's younger brother to be much more interesting than I had before. I thought we could go to Boston and just party for two weeks. I also thought he was planning to go to Alaska, and I would also go there with him.

I was interrupted by a phone call. When the man on the phone identified himself, he sounded like the man who had sometimes called me on behalf of one of my bankruptcy clients named Charlene, but this man was apparently the husband of another of my bankruptcy clients, a woman named Coletta. He bluntly told me he wanted to have a hearing in front of the bankruptcy judge to see if his bankruptcy payments could be lowered. I was in no mood to deal with this, especially since I thought he had already appeared once in front of judge Abramson and had had the payments lowered. However I told him he had the right to ask the judge, even though I thought his request would be refused. I debated whether I should tell him to go ahead and do it himself, or whether I should tell him I would have to charge him if I helped him.
