I was being chased by someone along the banks of Symmes Creek on the Gallia County Farm, when I came to an area near the old swimming hole. I saw a place in the creek where it looked as if the water was deep and I thought I might be able to get into the water and hide there. Upon closer scrutiny I saw that on the bank around the water were long, impressive looking wooden benches of various designs. They were quite beautiful and I wondered what they were doing here.
I finally concluded the creek was used as a place of baptism and the benches had been set up for people to watch.
In my mind I imagined such a baptism taking place and imagined myself as doing it. I imagined a young thin man before me, and imagined dipping him in the water while saying, "In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost."
