I had to go to Mexico to get a new driver's license. Almost as soon as I arrived in the country, as I was walking down a street, a policeman approached me and slapped handcuffs on me, but failed to secure them on one of my hands. He then escorted me to a car, put me in it, and walked away. As I sat here, I realized I could slip out of the handcuffs and possibly escape. Nevertheless I resolved to sit in the car and exercise patience by meditating on something. I would simply pass the time and wait. I thought when the policeman returned I would then probably be able to resolve the matter.
