As a crowd of people and I were riding down a long escalator, I held onto the handrail on one side, put my feet on a small track along the side, and began sliding down the escalator. After passing many people, I reached the bottom of the escalator, and continued walking down a path which other people were also following. I reached a somber area which appeared to be an immense field where bombs had been dropped. Passing through the field, still on a downward decline, I reached a point where I was passing through nothing but rubble.

I didn't know where I was going, and I was mainly just following all the other people. Although I had originally thought I would end up somewhere pleasant, I now saw that only rubble surrounded me. I didn't know what I had gotten myself into.

I had thought the other people had known where they were going. But now I doubted that they knew. It appeared as if it would be difficult for me to turn around and go back. I looked back at the way I had come. I saw that I would have to jump across a small ditch. Finally I saw a group of fellows who looked like teenagers who had turned off the path. One hollered out to me, telling me I could go with them. The guy said, "You can go with us, or go back to the judges."

I could see them disappearing down the small path. It was starting to get dark, and I was afraid if I followed them I would get lost and not be able to find them. Then I would be lost down her in all this rubble. If I could just jump back over this one ditch, I might be able to walk all the way back up to the top again.
