As I was walking along in the country I noticed some large stacks of wood and brush which I recognized as beaver lodges. Later I returned to the same place and saw a man erecting a wooden fence around the lodges; he had also torn down several lodges. I immediately confronted the fellow; I was determined to stop him from building the fence and destroying the beaver lodges.
