I had met some people involved in helping African children. I was going to go to a meeting with the people but first I began thinking long and hard about the subject. I realized I felt called to go to Africa and live there. I also felt called to find a child and adopt it for myself.

I went to the meeting and spoke with a well-dressed woman (about 40 years old) who seemed to be head of the organization. I asked her about adopting a child and told her it didn't matter where it came from. She knew how I could go about finding an African child to adopt. Apparently, the way she talked, there were hundreds of them. At first she thought I wanted the child for someone else, but then I told her I wanted it for myself. She told me she wouldn't be able to get the child for me herself because some money would be necessary.

I told her I planned to leave in the next day or two and go to Africa. She was able to give me some information. She told me it wasn't going to be difficult to find an African child to adopt.
