I would like to take this time to remember Chris Owen.
Christopher M. (Chris) Owen was born Feburary 9, 1985 and died at the age of 17 years young on October 15, 2002. He was a senior at Pampa High School. He played French Horn in the band, serving as section leader, band chaplain, and earning All-Region and All-Area Band honors. He was also named to "Who's Who in American High Schools" and was a member of First United Methodist Church where he was very active in youth activities and youth missions. I knew him for many years, although not near as long as I wish, through church and band, and considered him a very close friend. Since the summer of 2002 he had been fighting off cancer, for the third time in his short life. He won the battle with the cancer, but had many other medical problems caused by the cancer, in which is the reason he went to be with the Lord. I praise the doctors for fighting with him to let us keep him while we could. I thank God for letting us have him for the short time that we did. Chris, you will be dearly missed by all of us who knew and loved you!! We know you are up there, watch over us. I know where you are, my friend, and I'll see you again sometime...Until my time is up, Goodbye Chris. WE ALL MISS YOU!!
