SOLERIFT IS BROKEN UP! - 09/01/05
Ok, Solerift broke up a few years ago. After this happened, this website kinda got abandond. I just want to put one last post. I have posted their 4 song EP they recorded just before they broke up at MySpace. You can find the page here. If anything major happens with the band or any of its members in the future, I will be posting at the MySpace page. Go there from now on. Solerift does want to thank all the loyal fans they obtained worldwide. I (Dustin Sain) take full responsibility for not letting anyone know the band had disbanded. Show at Sanctuary/New CD - 10/15/02
Solerift is booked to headline The Sanctuary on October 25. At this show, hopefully they will have copies of their new 4 song CD for sale for $5. Show starts at 10:00.

Harder Beat Review/Remember The Website Address - 08/14/02
Solerift got a good review in the Harder Beat this month. It isn't very long, but it says how Solerift "tore the roof off the new club with their Slipknot-meets-Soulfly style of grinding, slamming grooves". You can chek that out here, or just go pick up a Harder Beat magazine. There is a pretty good live shot of Chris by the review. Also, from what I'm hearing the www.solerift.com URL may be closing down soon, so remember to bookmark the actual Angelfire site if you wanna keep coming back to the site. I'm not exactly sure when or even if the domain will be shut down, I just wanted to let you know.

Website Downsize/New Show - 08/07/02
Well, I used to have 40 megs of space for website shit, but Angelfire just knocked me down to 20 megs. So, I had to delete all the videos and about half of the pictures. I don't know how long the site will be like this, but I will try to have it fixed somehow. Also, SOLERIFT is booked on August 17 at The Sanctuary in Deep Ellum. See you guys there!

SOLERIFT Playing the Harder Beat Showcase - 07/06/02
Solerift has been booked to play the Harder Beat Showcase on July 20 at The Sanctuary in Deep Ellum. SOLERIFT will be headlining the show and they start at 1:00. We need every single SOLERIFT fan in the Dallas area to make it out to this show. If they win, they will get on the cover of Harder Beat magazine and have an article written about their performance. Also, sorry for the lack of updates.....I have temporarily lost my connection to the internet. I will try to update more in the upcoming months.

CORE WARS IS ON!!! - 05/21/02
Just lettin everybody know that SOLERIFT's match in CORE WARS has begun. As of right now, we are getting stomped....so we need all of you to go out and vote for SOLERIFT here. Remember, you can only vote once a day, but you can vote everyday of the week. Just vote as much as possible. Also, sorry about the mp3s. I dont know what the fuck is up with mp3.com, but they are taking forever. I did start serving the mp3s on Kazza under the username insain9876@Kazza if anyone wants to try and get them from me. I'll post when they are actually up on mp3.com.

New MP3s and Recording / Core Wars / Live Video Again- 05/14/02
Hey everyone. I have a pretty big update today. First off, we are using 5 of the songs from SOLERIFT's last show and making MP3s out of them. They have already been submitted to the mp3.com site, but it takes those guys like a week to approve them and have them up and running. The songs are "A" Is For Asshole, Jerkwater, Grudgefuck, and 2 currently untitled songs. I'll post as soon as they are up and working. Next, SOLERIFT aquired some cash at their last show, so they now have money to finally make a good recording. I dont know the exact tracklisting, but it will be 3 recorded songs and a live version of "A" Is For Asshole on it. I'll keep everyone posted on that. Also, because the last live video shoot didnt go exactly as planned (small crowd, technical difficulties, ect) we are gonna get one more shot at a SOLERIFT live video. We will be shooting at Juicy Lucy's on May 25th. WE NEED ALL YOU CRAZY FUCKERS OUT THERE TO MAKE THIS LIVE VIDEO AWESOME!! I know I said this last time, but this time it it true. SOLERIFT will never have an opportunity like this again, so we need as many people as possible at this show. This will also be the show with the new "A" Is For Asshole t-shirts. And last but not least, CORE WARS! SOLERIFT has become a part of CORE WARS, an online battle of the bands for some of the best heavy metal bands on the net. We need all you guys to show your support and vote for SOLERIFT. You can vote once a day for each band. At the end of the whole contest, the winner gets a free spot on the CORE TILL DEATH metal compilation. Link for CORE WARS is here. They have about 50 bands signed up, but only 10 get to compete each week, so you may have to check back to see when SOLERIFT's turn is up. Better Website / New Shirts - 05/05/02
As you can see, I did alot of work on the website. I moved a few things, added some shit, and just made it look more professional in my opinion. I hope you guys like it. Also, hopefully by the next show SOLERIFT will have some brand new shirts to sell. They are gonna have the new logo on the front (see above), and on the back they are gonna say "A" Is For ASSHOLE really big. They will be available on white shirts with green writing, or green shirts with white writing. I believe they will be $10. Just in case your wondering, "A" Is For ASSHOLE is the name of SOLERIFT's brand new punk song. So come out to Juicy Lucys on May 25th and pick yourself up a fuckin shirt!!

Camera Crew At Juicy Lucy's Show - 04/14/02
I have aranged for a camera crew to come film the May 3rd Juicy Lucy's show. There will be 4 cameras filming this show and, if it turns out good, this recording may possibly be sold later at shows or through the website. We need as many people to come to this show and make this a bad ass video. Come out and show your support! SOLERIFT may not get this kind of chance for a live video again, so lets make it insane.

Eisenbergs Show Canceled - 04/01/02
The Eisenbergs show that was supposed to happen this Friday (04/05/02) has been canceled due to fucked up equipment. I doubt any more shows will have to be canceled, but I will keep everyone posted.

DELIRIOUS PEOPLE VIDEO CLIPS!! / Mikes New Tattoo - 3/21/02
I know its been months since Ive talked about this, but I finally got two 30 second clips from the "Delirious People" music video up. I will try to get the whole video up later, but I only had enough time to make these two clips while I was on the editing equipment. They are around 15 megs a piece, so it may take a while on slower connections. Also, yesterday Mike got a kick ass SOLERIFT tattoo. Its the new logo (see top of page) going across the top of his back. It looks so fucking good. I will get a picture up on the site as soon as possible.

Great Show / More Shows Booked - 3/09/02
Last nights show at Juicy Lucy's was great. Wanted to thank everyone who showed up, Silverpill, Neroma, and Butt-Plug The Clown for making us those cool as balloon animals with boners. SOLERIFT got two headlining shows booked at Juicy Lucy's. One on May 3rd and one on May 25th. Be there by 9:30. This last show it was $7 for 18-20 and $5 for 21 and up, but the prices may change by the time these shows come up. I'll keep everyone posted.

Just lettin everyon know that SOLERIFT got a show booked at Juicy Lucy's on 3/08/02. I'm not sure about all the details yet (time, cover charge, opening bands). Ill post that info as soon as I get it. All I know is that Juicy Lucy's is a new club in Deep Ellum next door to the Galaxy Club.

New SOLERIFT Lyrics - 1/25/02
I finally got lyrics from Mike, so now there are lyrics for Delirious People and The World We Live In on the mp3.com site (use the Audio link above). You just have to click on the album cover next to the song and you can read the lyrics. Pretty soon, when the new webpage is done, there will be a lyrics section on our site.

New Logo / New Website- 1/22/02
Yesterday me and David came up with the new SOLERIFT logo. Everyone in the band seems to like it, so it might be permanent. Personally, I think its pretty bad ass. Also, be lookin out for a brand new SOLERIFT website. We actually got someone who knows what they are doing with web design and he said he will design us a whole new site. Ill keep everyone updated.

Galaxy Club Show - 1/21/02
Solerift got a show booked at the Galaxy Club on Sunday February 10. Its and early 5:00 show. Its and all ages show and its $5 for 21+ and $8 for everyone else. They are opening up for One Minute Halo. Hope to see everyone there.

Some Video Clips Are Now Up - 1/20/02
I figured out how to get some of these old video clips up on the site, so now there are eight 1 minute clips in the video section now. Whenever I get a video card, the real Delirious People video will be up...and possibly some live show clips.

Page Update/Sorry About Video Delay - 1/20/02
I added about 50 new pictures today. There are a few new ones in each members section and about 10 new ones in the group section. I also made 2 new picture sections, one from a keg party/show SOLERIFT had and one from this past New Years Eve. Ive also been changing some of the graphics and layouts of the page. I know I promised the Delirious People video would be up by now, but we are still having problems getting the video to the net. I promise it will be up, Im just not sure when. Sorry about that.

Do You think SOLERIFT Should Be Signed?? - 1/06/02
Over at the Roadrunner Records website, they are doing a web forum on who they should sign next. Roadrunner Records is already looking at SOLERIFT....so we need some fans to tell them why SOLERIFT should be signed. Click here and show your support. Who knows, this may get SOLERIFT a record deal. "Delirious People" Video Done/Stupid Asshole Claiming To Be In SOLERIFT - 12/29/01
The music video is completely done and edited. As soon as we figure out how to do it, I will post the video on the site. Next, some stupid fuck is going on the net and claiming to be in SOELRIFT. He claims he moved to California after his band SOLERIFT got signed. He even put a link to this website on his profile...which can be found here. I just wanted to let everyone know about this asshole, and to make him look like an idiot to anyone who came to this site because he told them to.

"Delirious People" Video Completed Shooting / Thanks - 11/29/01
Well, we finally finished shooting the "Delirious People" video. I watched most of the footage and we got some really good shit. We start editing this weekend and the video will be completed in no more than 2 weeks. On another note, last weekend Solerift had a keg party/show. The band wanted me to thank everyone who showed up, got drunk, and had some fun with all of us. Hopefully, we will be doing something like this again. I got some pictures back from the party and I will be posting them as soon as I get everything scanned into my computer.

"Delirious People Video" Day 2 - 11/20/01
Today we got some awesome footage. We shot up at the Jam Station and they were cool enough to let us use their rental room to shoot the video. All of Solerift was in suits and shit....its gonna be a great video. What many people don't know is that "Delirious People" is a song about free-speech, so some of that message is gonna be in the video. Just picture all of Solerift wearing suits in an elevator with upside-down American flags stuck over their mouths.....

"Delirious People Video" Day 1 - 11/16/01
Finally, we started shooting the "Delirious People" music video today. We went out to this weird run-down barn in the middle of nowhere. I got some really cool looking footage. We shoot again up at the studio this upcoming Monday. Things are going alot smoother than expected, so this video is gonna be kick ass.

SOLERIFT Punk Song - 11/09/01
I've been up to the studio a few time in the past week, and Solerift is working on a new punk song. Its not your traditional punk, its much heavier. Just think of it as the best hardcore song you will ever hear. As soon as I get the capabilities to post more videos on the site I will start putting clips of the new songs.

Change Of Plans.....Again - 11/09/01
Well, things have changed again. The hours changed at my school, and we cant get all the equipment we need this weekend from the video department. The video has been delayed until next week sometime. We gotta work around everyones schedule to do this, so its gonna take some time. This is kind of a good thing because we have more time to plan and make this video as good as it can be. I'll post whenever we get everything set in stone.

Change Of Plans - 11/08/01
The song for the music video might get changed. Right now its a toss up between "Judgement Brings Punishment" and "Delirious People". There is some conflict on what song to do. "Delirious People" would make a better video, but "Judgement Brings Punishment" has better sound quality. Its pretty much picking the lesser of two evils. We will know by this weekend what is going on.

"Judgement Brings Punishment" Music Video - 11/06/01
This upcoming weekend (11/10/01) I get the privlege of shooting Solerift's first music video. It will be for the song "Judgement Brings Punishment" from Solerift's first demo. The video will be completed and edited down by mid-December at the very very latest. This isn't some big-budget MTV quality music video, but its still going to be kick ass. As soon as I can I will post the video up on the website. I'll keep everyone updated.

Shows - 9/30/01
Solerift got a couple more shows booked. October 27, 2001 Solerift is playing at the VFW with Obsidion, Fireal, and One Minute Halo . It is 2 lights west of I-75 on Arapaho Rd in Richardson, TX. Take a left at 2nd light down Arapaho (1040 Hampshire Ln). It is on your left about 3 or 4 buildings down (looks like a Whataburger). Be there by 7:00. Show is $8. They also have a show at Eisenbergs on 12/14/01 with a fucking bad ass new metal group called Blunt Force Trauma. If you need directions look at the post below. Show is $5. Be there at 7:30.
