"River"

The river, cold and swift, cuts through the mountain side,
Opening the earth, generations took to hide,
Softening the remnants of tokens, idols and bone,
The steal clear water absorbs the past unknown.

Oh, how a river whose blood is washed away,
Can keep right on flowing each and every day,
Never wavering to reflect the past,
Waters crashing onward ~ steadfast.

The end of its journey is where treasures are found.
Somewhere in a cave or crevice underground,
Lies a shimmering pool, reflective of the land,
Centuries of droplets, rest peaceful and grand.

It means more to me than you know.
'Cause everyday when I come here to post,
It's your words that inspire me the most.
