Well, it had to happen sooner or later, you know that. One day, I was bound to get a little bored with doing the real life stuff (which does have to be done, I realize) and where would I turn? My internet connection, of course. :) So here I am. Bored. Nothing so pressing that it has to be done just now. Nothing overly interesting to do. And I'm online.

Oh dear gods...

That's right, I'm going to tell you a bit about me. If you're scared already, perhaps it's better that you escape back to the slightly saner portion of this website. But if you like things just a little bit random, please bear with us. It'll be... an experience. And we all know experience builds character. So here we go.

The Merideth Information Section!
Are you sufficiently deafened now? Oh good. Now we can begin.

First we'll start with the basic information. My name is Merideth, though I am known by many other names depending on who you ask. I am 18 (legal! woohoo!) years of age.

I was born, lived, and will most likely drag myself home to die in Texas (but contrary to popular belief, we do not all ride horses to school and say things like howdy or yeeha other than in jest.) Being a Texan is one of the few things I am actually patriotic about. If you know me or you spend any amount of time in this website, you'll see that I'm not that enthusiastic about alot of the things people say I ought to be (I don't believe in school spirit, freaking out if someone says something about the United States, that sort of thing). But Texas is one of the things I hold... almost sacred. I like being a Texan, and no matter where I go or where I eventually settle down, I always will be one.

I am almost half way through my senior year of high school and yes, I am working on the whole college thing. In fact, I have already been accepted to three places. Now it's all a matter of figuring out which one I will actually go to. I have been accepted to Texas Tech University, A&M and Oklahoma State. All 3 made a real impression on me, so this decision is not exactly easy. But I'm working on it.

I plan to major in genetics. Genetic Engineering has always fascinated me since.. well, probably since I picked up my first X-men comic back in the 3rd grade, but the interest grew and solidified after reading most of Nancy Kress's work, especially the Beggers Trilogy. Though I don't think I will ever make a living out of it, I will always be a writer. It's a part of what I am, just like being a Texan. Nothing will change that. If you want to check out some of my work, I'm always up for constructive criticism.

I have an unhealthy obsession with the following things:
