MagiTextPad :

A simple text editor, with options that are sorely missing from Windows NotePad
I made this for myself as a replacement for Windows NotePad, simply because I was tired of always having to use Black text on White background.

MagiTextPad works like Windows NotePad, but unlike Windows NotePad, you can choose to use whatever colors you wish. As you can tell by my color choice on this page, I like to be different. ;)

You can also choose to use any Font you have installed on your computer, do almost everything you can do with Windows NotePad, including write HTML files, normal text files, and whatever else you do with NotePad.

Yes, MagiTextPad was, at first, just an enhansed NotePad.

There are several things that NotePad can't do though.

Namely, it can save whatever colors and font you have it set to when you save the text file.
If you choose to save as a MagiTextPad file, it saves all the color and Font intormation in the text file, and saves it with a  .txp  extention.

Why is this interesting? Well, because when you open a MagiTextPad file, it sets the Font and colors to match whatever the file was saved in! That way, not only can you ease the strain on your eyes by using soothing colors, but also have it set the same Font and colors whenever you open that text file again!
Not only that, but someone else with MagiTextPad can open that file, and it will be in the same Font and colors it was in when you saved it!
If someone doesn't have the Font on thier computer that you saved it in, it will ask them to choose another, and tell them that the Font it was looking for is not on thier computer, and give them the name of that Font for if they want to try to get it somewhere else.

What about people that don't have MagiTextPad, but still want to read a MagiTextPad file?
A MagiTextPad file can still be opened in most normal text editors, including Windows NotePad!

Also, with MagiTextPad+, you can write a HTML document, and preview it in a mini-web browser! (( Requires Microsoft Internet Explorer© version 4.0 or higher ))

This is a Shareware program, meaning that you can download and use it for free for a trail peroid of one month. If you use it longer than that, I ask that you ~please~ register my program. It's only a $5 US fee to register, not a huge fee like some Shareware programs...
Registration information is included in the ReadMe file that comes with the program.

~ Web Browser ~

NavCon :

I never cared much for any of the web browsers I've used so far.
Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape, and the AOL web browser all worked fine, but each had something I didn't like about it.
A friend of mine was constantly telling me of the troubles she kept having with Netscape.

My solution? Make a web browser for the both of us.
It doesn't have all the fancy options that other browsers have. It has a working Bookmarks window, and you can change the start page.
That's it for now, but I'll always be working on it, trying to think of what else I can add to it.

What really sets this browser apart from the other web browsers out there?
This one doesn't obstruct your view with large buttons for "Home" "Forward" "Back" and such, instead, all the commands are on the menu, and also accessable by the keyboard.
Take a look at these two screen shots, which do you think is less intrusive on your web browsing? The one with all the buttons taking up a chunk of spave that could be used for the actual web page view, or the one that shows as much of the page as possible?

Internet Explorer 5 ©

What if you wanted to just have the browser open in a small window? Then the space those buttons take up really starts to seem more important, 'eh?
With NavCon, you can have the web page itself take up almost your entire screen, with only the menu bar and the URL box taking space. I leave that option up to you, the user.
