Hi...My name is Karen and I'm glad you're here. Come in and look around...and thanks for visiting! This web page was just updated on 20 June 2005.

I have been quilting for about 14 years. My best friend, Ellen, talked me into taking a beginners quilting class with her. We made a (35" x 35") sampler wall hanging. Since then I have made 6 quilted wall-hangings, 1 lap Quilt, 1 twin log cabin quilt, 1 king-size Quilt, 2 Bug Jar Quilts, 1 Jean Rag Quilt and 2 quilted end-table Quilts. I plan to add the pictures of the other quilts to this page soon. I really love to quilt...Thanks Ellen!!!

Jims Jean Rag Quilt (front)

I made this quilt for my brother for Christmas / Birthday December 2004.

Here is the other side of his quilt.

Angela's Rose Garden Quilt

This quilt was made for my niece Angela.

Butterfly wall-hanging Quilt

I made this quilt for my Mothers birthday which was on Easter 2003.

Sampler Wall Hanging Quilt

This is the first quilt I have ever made.

My king-size quilt

Before this king size quilt, I had only made wall-hangings. I saw this pattern in the August 1993,Issue No.3, pp. 12-16 magazine called American Patchwork & Quilting. It looked like an easy pattern to start off with, for a beginner.

Same Quilt

Here is how the quilt looks on our bed. I had enough material to quilt matching tableclothes.

Laurens Bug Quilt

I made this quilt for my niece, Lauren. I am in the process of making an identical one for my son Anthony as well. This quilt has jars filled with lady-bugs, ants, butterflies, honey bees, frogs, inch-worms, lizzards, moths, and cute little dust-mites. I used a dark-blue printed material for the background between and around each jar, with a green color strip surrounding a bright yellow printed strip of fabric.

Anthonys Bug Quilt

Well... I finally finished my sons Bug Quilt!! I changed the look of it, a little, with the border colors. The size of this quilt is: 48"x60".

Over our fireplace

This wall-hanging quilt,(43"x43"),is hanging over our fireplace. I quilted it before I made the king-size quilt. This was my first attempt at this design. I think it turned out pretty good!

Anniversary Quilt

I made this quilt for my Parents 50th Wedding Anniversary. They celebrated it on 12 June 2000. Their children and grandchildrens names and birth dates are embroidered in the leaves that surround their wedding picture. On the trunk of the tree are my parents names, birth dates and the date they were married. The roots of the tree are embroidered with the names of their Parents and Grandparents.

Grandpa's Quilt

This quilt was finished 23 March 2002 just in time for my Dads 73rd birthday.

Log Cabin Quilt

This twin size log cabin quilt was made for my oldest son Josh. It was finished 10 Feb 2003.
