Harrison's Story

After Peanut had Maddie (a female bichon)as a friend, I decided that I wanted to get a bichon. Originally I wanted a girl. I even called all the newspaper listings, but they didn't have any females available. One day I went shopping and looked at the pet store in the mall. I saw a big male bichon, but I didn't like the fact that he was too big for his age. On the way home I stopped at another pet store and went in to look. They had one male bichon. He was so little.

The man brought him out so I could hold him and the first thing I saw was his little belly. He was only 2 lbs. At the time I really wanted to get him, but I worried about getting a dog from a pet shop. But I knew what I was going to name him: Harrison. The name just came to me. I went back periodically for a week and a half. I even took a friend with me to see him. I told the man that I would be back in a week and buy the bichon if he was still there. So I went back one afternoon and he was still there so I bought him. Then I rushed Harrison to the vet. The vet told me that I should return Harrison because he came from a pet store even though Harrison didn't have any major health problems. But I didn't want to and that's how Harrison came into my life. I was worried that Peanut would be too rough with Harrison, but they loved each other instantly.
