VEGETA: Vegeta was prince of his race, the saiyajin, on planet Vegeta(named after his father). He was strongest know saiyajin on the planet and some even expected him to become the legendary Super Saiyajin. With this kind of treatment all of his life, Vegeta gained a EGO which forbid himself to become lower than any other person of his race when it came to power. This leads to his intence competition with Goku but I will get into that later. Vegeta's planet was destroyed while he was away and the only 4 saiyajins left were him, Nappa, Radditz, and Goku. After hearing of the dragonballs from Radditz's scouter(scouters act as communicators no matter how far u are away) while Goku, Piccolo, and Radditz were fighting, Vegeta and his sidekick Nappa went off to earth to find them and wish for immortality so they could fight forever(a saiyajin's greatest wish). Vegeta arrived and was stunned by Goku's power. He could not believe that there was a low class saiyajin such as Goku who could best him in a fight. He was forced to transform into Oozoru form(were-monkey) and fight. Vegeta nearly killed Goku but his tale was chopped off by Yajirobii. He was finally beaten and narrowly escaped. He went back to Freeza's palace where he was immediatley hooked up to a rejuvinator. He was nursed back to health in a liquid filled tube. When he came back to conciousness Vegeta broke out of the rejuvinator and ran straight for his space pod. He left Freeza's palace and flew to Nameck since he wanted to beat Freeza in collecting the dragonballs. He arrives to find the awesome Freezer wih 5 dragonballs already. He manages to get ahold of one to prevent Freezer from getting his wish for immortality. He defeats one of Freezer's main henchman Dodoria but has a hard time with the other one called Zarbon. Zarbon takes the beaten Vegeta back to Freezer's ship and puts him in a rejuvination tank. Vegeta was faking some of the injuries and broke out of the tube once nobody was looking. He stole the dragonballs out from Freezer's nose and ran. He meets up with Zarbon again and defeats him. LET IT BE KNOW THAT WHENEVER A SAIYAJIN GETS BEATEN UP THEN HEALTHY AGAIN....HIS POWER LEVLE IS NEARLY DOUBLED. Freezer summons the Ginuu Force to retrieve the stolen dragonballs. Vegeta teams up with Kryllin and Gohan to fight the Ginuu force. Vegeta is beaten to within an inch of his life but is healed by a senzu bean when Goku arrived. With his new power, Vegeta easily wastes one of the Ginuu's five members. But then he leaves Goku in order to get the dragonballs from Freezer's unguarded ship. The Ginuu force is defeated but Vegeta could not get the dragonballs because the eldest namek who created the balls died and the balls dissapeared. Freeza shows up and challenges them all. Vegeta tells Kryllin to blast him in the chest and for Dende to heal him. The reason he did this is because he thought he was on the verge of becoming a Super Saiyaijin. Indeed he was but the healing was not quite enough to push over the edge. He was defeated by Freezer and got so frustrated that he wasnt a super saiyajin that he started crying. Vegeta was at a very low point during the time after the Nameck Saga. The reason being is because Goku had reached Super Saiyajin mode and he had not. He was lonely....but most of all...his pride was hurt beyond repair. He pushed himself to the limit trying to match Goku's power but never could. He became so angry at himself he screamed outloud as loud as he could. At this exact second he became a Super Saiyajin. As turned out, the only way he cold go super saiyajin was to become enraged. He used this new power to defeat androids 19 and 20 while Goku was ill with his heart disease. During the Cell Saga Vegeta reached a new level of Super Saiyajin that nobody had before. It was not Super Saiyajin 2 mode but close to it. After the defeat of Cell he trained but reached his own personal limit until Babi-Di gave him a huge power-up during the Buu series. Babi told him that in order to receive the power-up Vegeta would have to become Babi's slave. Vegeta agreed but Babi could not control him. Vegeta finally reached Super Saiyajin 2 mode and defeated Goku. the only reason Vegeta won is because Goku refused to go Super Saiyajin 3 in order to save his time on earth. ----END OF DBZ----
