GOHAN: Gohan is Goku's son who has the potential to surpass any of the Z warriors but does not have or want the will to kill things like the Saiyajin do. Dragonball Z starts off with Gohan at about five years old. He is captured by Radditz to try to get his father to join him. After the Radditz saga Piccolo "kidnaps" him to train him after he saw Gohan's awesome power surpass even Radditz's. He is made to live by himself in the wilderness for 6 months. This taught him a thing or two about being tough. The next six months Piccolo began to teach Gohan the martial arts. He taught him how to control his ki and use it against his enemies. After the six months were up the evil saiyajin Nappa and Vegeta arrived on earth looking for the Dragonballs. Gohan went with the Z warriors to fight them until Goku arrived to help. He barely got out of that fight with his life. Gohan watched his father defeat Nappa. He also saved his dad from Vegeta after turning into were-monkey form. Gohan then fought with Vegeta. This is the first time when Gohan appeared to be in control of his awesome power. Gohan fought stride for stride with Vegeta for a long while. Vegeta was impressed and actually commented the "runt"; as Vegeta called him. After the fight with Vegeta Gohan traveled to Nameck in order to use the Namekian dragonballs to wish Piccolo and the others back to life. During the course of the Nameck Saga, Gohan received numerous power-ups that kept him almost as powerful as Vegeta. After the Nameck Saga, Gohan trained with his dad and Piccolo for the arrival of androids 19 and 20. This brought him very close to the threshhold of becoming a Super Saiyajin like his father. After the fight with the androids the Z team, including Gohan, went into the Room of Space and Time to train for the fight against Cell. Each hour hour in the room equals 1 day in real earth time. They trained for 6 months in earth time and nearly doubled their power. Here Gohan learned Super Saiyajin and surpassed his father. During the Cell saga, Cell stepped on android 16's head. Android 16 was different from the rest of the androids....he was peaceful and became a good friend of Gohan. Android 16 knew all along about Gohan's hidden power and told Mister Satan to throw # 16's head at Cell. When this happenned Cell got pissed and smashed android 16's head. Gohan got so damn pissed off he entered Super Saiyajin 2 mode. Cell had wanted an interesting fight but now he was way out of Gohan's league. Cell had to resort to self-destructing in order to destroy the earth. Goku, Gohan's dad, sacrificed himself by teleporting Cell and Goku to King Kai's planet...saving earth and his friends. Cell regenerated and fought with Gohan again. But this time they were about even in strength as Cell regenerated into a more powerful form. Gohan barely managed to vaporize Cell with a Kamehameha. BUT THE ONLY REASON GOHAN WON THE KAMEHAMEHA DUEL WITH CELL IS BECAUSE VEGETA DISTRACTED CELL FROM BLASTING AT GOHAN. Seven years pass since the Cell Game and Gohan is about 18 and going to Satan City High School. He is a caped hero who calls himself the "Great Saiya Man." Gohan had not trained at all while Goku was in heaven so now he was behind Vegeta. He had a brother named Goten who he trained. Buu was awakened and Gohan had to go to one of the Kai god's to get a special power-up and received the Zed Sword. After this was done his power matched that of Super Saiyajin 3 Goku. But that was not enough to defeat Buu. He was saved by his father when he camed back to life. This is pretty much the end of Gohan as for DBZ. ---END OF DBZ---
