The Amazon Xociety has a reputation for producing strong innovative and dynamic programs geared towards the practical empowerment of women. After having done radio for a year, a webzine was a natural next step for us (and other exciting media projects are in the works). We are joined in this project by our primary collaborative partners of Themiscyra and Nova Amazonia.
OBJECTIVE: To offer a project that helps to build a global Amazon community.

SUBMISSIONS DEADLINE: 20th of the month (tentative)
PUBLISHING DEADLINE: 1st of the month (tentative)
PURPOSE: To create a strong alliance between several Amazon organizations in an effort to build a strong and unified Amazon nation. The help members of the participating tribes/organizations to develop strong technical and communication skills that will carry over into their Amazon and community groups. This alliance zine should connect Amazon communities and build solidarity within the movement.
VISION: The focus should be on women’s empowerment. We will not employ the victimization model. The magazine should ultimately inspire and motivate Amazons to take action, work together, become more complete and fulfilled individuals, and in so doing strengthen their communities.
