Northern Flying Squirrel(Glaucomys sabrinus

The Northern Flying Squirrel is different from the Southern in several ways. The fur is denser and softer and the fur is more brown in color. The Northern Flying Squirrel is also larger than the Southern. The babies are born in Spring of the year with litter size being 2 - 5 babies per litter.

The diet for the Flying squirrel is a variety of foods. We feed a cockatiel diet with dry cat food ( to supplement for lack of insects in the diet), sweet potato slices, and apple in moderation. Caging is large being a minimum 36 inches by 36 inches by 36 inches per animal.
