The roadrunner is part of the cuckoo family, and is capable of running up to 20mph. it rarely flies. when alarmed or curious, it raises it's crest, and utters a series of coos.

Diet: almost anything that moves, smaller than itself. insects, spiders, scorpions, lizards, rodents, fruit, and small birds all consist of it's diet. it's also famous for a snake killer.

Size: 24 inches tall, streaked and slender, about the size of a chicken.

Fieldmarks: long legs, mixture of black and white, has short band of colors behind eye.

Habitat: open floor of dry plains and desserts, treeless regions. doesn't migrate.
