Welcome to the web site of The Washington-Lincoln Alumni Association of Dallas (WLAA). We're glad you logged on.

You have entered the hottest and newest place to get acquainted, get involved, or to re-connect with the BTW-LHS communities. Although we are called The Washington - Lincoln Alumni Association of Dallas (WLAA), we welcome all alumni, students, parents, teachers and the general public to our web page. This site's objective is to give alumni and others information about the association (and to receive information of interest to alumni) and to provide links to other useful information sites.
WLAA is a 501(c)(3) federally tax exempt, non-profit corporation. Its members are mostly graduates and former students of Washington and Lincoln High Schools of Dallas, Texas. WLAA has chartered chapters in Dallas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington DC, Houston, Kansas City, and Las Vegas. Our goals and objectives include but are not limited to the following: To stimulate continued interest in the purposes and values of public school education. To provide assistance to students and graduates of educational institutions in the form of tutorial, vocational, and occupational services, including awarding scholarships and providing career guidance. WLAA was an outgrowth of a reunion of the classes of 1939-1943. The end result was the formation of The Washington-Lincoln Alumni Association of Dallas (WLAA), a non-profit Texas Corporation. Subsequent to the formation of the non-profit corporation in August, 1976, tax-exempt status was granted to WLAA.
Class Reunions - We need to identify the classes' movers and shakers to be our most important links to the individual alumni and classes. Many of us tend to maintain closer contact with classmates than with other schoolmates. Has your class held or is it planning a reunion or any other class activities? Do you maintain a class alumni list? If your class has a web page, we encourage you to create a link from your web page to this WLAA home page. We will be pleased to create a link to your web page. Please contact us so that we may work together for the mutual benefit of more classes and alumni. Reunion information is very important. We can post verified announcements on the WLAA web page to reach more alumni around the world. Let us know the reunion or activity specifics and we will help to spread the word without any obligation whatsoever. WLAA will also be happy to provide excellent information on how individual alumni and groups can establish their own web sites. After you have created your own web page and have made arrangements to have it hosted, please feel free to ask the Alumni Association to create a link to your group's site from the WLAA home page.
Alumni - WLAA is always reaching out to alumni who have not had the opportunity to become acquainted with the association. Don't hesitate to initiate contact with WLAA. We are constantly seeking to find those schoolmates who could be interested in the principles that WLAA is founded upon. We convene annually. Our convention sites have been located from coast-to-coast. We get down to business, plus we have some downright exciting great times at our conventions. Let's get acquainted regardless of whether or not you intend to become a member.
