Texas Tournamment: The Trip Part 2

The Texas Tournament, The Trip Part 2
Started by: Happosai

Ryuu stared at the latest guy he asked for direction. "WHERE IS THE TOURNAMENT?!?!" He shouted in rage. "GKLH YIIDKSG UIYDFBK KAGHKLG!!!" the guy replied in what appeared to be annoyance and anger in one."AAAGGGGRRRRHHHH!!!" Ryuu screamed to the sky as he ran away from the American. "DOESN'T ANYONE HERE SPEAK JAPANESE?!?!"

Fujiko had been bouncing around the airplane and she was getting ticked off. Not noticing the Texan walking past her, Fujiko started yelling out some choice words to the pilot up front. The exact words won't be posted here, but involved questioning the pilot's manhood, sexual orientation and none of it was language befitting a lady.

Kodachi's helicopter landed right outside of the King ranch. It spewed dust all about dropping several hundred pounds on Mimiku's limo. She left the helicopter and smiled at her surroundings. This was the first time she had ever been this far into America.

"This is going to be a fun tournament!"

The limos had returned to the ranch so that they wouldn't have to stay there. The plane's delay was becoming a real nuisance. Mimiku lounged against the side of one of the limousines and appraised the ranch from a distance. All of a sudden, there was a loud whirring that built up in decibel as a helicopter neared. Mimiku paid little mind to it, since there was plenty of wide, open space and no one would be crazy enough to land near a limo...

He was somewhat caught off guard as dirt and debris swirled up about him. Quickly, he protectively covered himself with his cloak as dirt piled about him and the limousine. When the sound and torrent had ended, Mimiku unsheathed himself from his cloak, sending off a large cloud of dust. Cursing under his breath, he took a few steps forward to see who the insane pilot was.

A figure was being escorted off the helicopter, dressed in opulent finery. Her hair glistened in the Texas sun, giving it the appearance of blue gold. Mimiku's lips quivered as he uttered the single name, "Kodachi..."

Hurriedly, he brushed himself off, making himself as presentable as possible as he approached her and her attendants.

Kodachi smiled one of her predatory smiles as she thought of winning this tournament, and getting some respect from it. She was tired of always losing. That's when she noticed the cloaked man walking her way. She didn't know who he was at the moment, but was not taking any chances.

She was on her guard and ready for action. "Greetings." She started in heavily accented English. "How are you today?"

Mimiku replied in his usual Japanese, not changing to the other language just yet. "I am doing well Ko-chan, and you?"

Kodachi switched back to Japanese for the ease of her companion. "I'm doing wonderful." She smiled sweetly as she spoke. "I have a chance to win back some respect at this tournament.

Back on the plane, Keisuke sat at the very back near the tail. He was rummaging through a storage compartment and was looking for something. "Aha!" he said triumphantly. "This is perfect."

"What sort of trouble are you getting into now?" Silk asked him as she closed the door to the refrigerator that she had just raided for some cold sodas.

"Oh, you'll see soon enough." Keisuke grinned, trying to hide whatever it was he was holding behind his back. He hurried back to his seat, but not before snatching Silk's soda out of her hand.

Silk shrugged the shrug of the apathetic, grabbed another soda out of the fridge and headed back to her seat.

Since the person who was supposed to be flying had now come to the cockpit and taken the controls, Al was about to go back to his seat. Before he left, he asked the pilot where they currently were, and got the response that they were about a mile from the ranch where they would be fighting at. Alex grinned. "Only a mile, huh?" Alex quickly dashed out, passing Silk and Ranma in his dash for the cargo bay. "Time for some action!"

Keisuke ran to the back with Alex. "Wait up, punk!" Keisuke yelled. Standing over the open cargo bay, Keisuke looked at Alex. "Ladies first." he grinned, pushing him out of the plane. Keisuke jumped out after him, his parachute he got out of the closet strapped on. "WAAAAAAHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Perfume had her sword sitting in her lap and running a whetstone up and down the blade. She was as ready as she could be for the tournament. She smiled at Alex's exclamation. She too was savoring the moment.

The Pilot managed to land the plane at a small airfield without too much of a problem. As the passengers got off, there was a bus waiting for them all. Everyone piled on and as the bus started to move, Happi recognized the driver. She was one of the hijackers from the Hawaii trip.

Happi didn't say anything at the time. She was going to wait for the woman to make the first move.

Keisuke was having the time of his life. He was about 30,000 feet in the air and falling. He tried to look around for Alex, but he lost him already. "Ah," he muttered. "What's the point of a freefall if you can fly?" About the time he opened his chute, Keisuke noticed the plane had landed. "Hey! What the...?" As he got closer, he noticed they were all loading into a bus. About 50 feet from the ground, he got over the bus and released himself, landing with a hard 'THUMP' on the roof of the bus. Keisuke lay still on his back. "Ow..."

Silk didn't notice the Driver, staring instead at the Skydiving Keisuke as he landed heavily on top of the bus. --That has got to hurt-- she thought. "Hey Keisuke, you alright?" she called up to him.

Ryuu looked around as he walked tiredly on some road he figured went to nowhere. He sighed as he saw a few tumble winds blow past him in the HOT and DRY wind. Ignoring the cactus and dehydrating plants he trudged wearily on...until he felt something weighing, oh roughly 25 tons, impact the back of him, sending him flying forward for quite a distance. Getting up slowly, all the while grunting in pain, he stared at the bus which had screeched to a halt. About to ask the driver roughly just what the hell he or she was smoking his eyes bugged out when he saw who the riders were...it was everyone he had left behind.

The group heard a sound like that of a hunting eagle...which wasn't too far off, as Alex came down, zooming past them and kicking up a trail of jet wash. He saw Keisuke's landing and was laughing himself silly, as he slowed down and landed. "Nice flight, but your landings need work."

Happi Chan was laughing her head off at the antics of the boys. These guys were alot tougher than the boys Happi hung out with in his youth.

The bus driver however had seen enough. "NO More!! These crazy nips will be the end of me!" She ran off the bus screaming.. she was just a speck in the desert horizon before anyone could react.

Keisuke coughed up some blood, trying to regain his composure. "Whoah." he said, sitting up wiping blood from his mouth. "That was damn cool. Whoah! Alex, watch out!!" he yelled. But Alex wasn't quick enough. Keisuke's stray parachute fell on him, trapping him like a fish net. "Ha ha ha ha!!" Keisuke hung over the edge of the bus, hanging upside down against Silk's window. "Yeah, I'm okay. Wish I could say the same for him, though." he giggled, pointing at Alex. "Sooo....what'd I miss?"

"Not much" Fujiko deadpanned. "Just the bus driver having a nervous breakdown." She then returned to her Discman.

After a few moment of struggling, Alex freed himself of the chute. He hopped down off the top of the bus, and said, "Well now that we're here, I guess we should go stow our gear." Alex grabbed his duffel bag and keyboard, and went to find his room.

Ryouga Hibiki was lost, this was normal. This time he had company, this was NOT normal. Ryouga looked around, being careful not to drop a sleeping Ukyou by accident. "This doesn't seem to be Nerima..." Spotting a nearby set of Buildings Ryouga turned to face them and started walking when he noticed some familiar faces. "Hey Ukyou! C'mon wakeup! I can see Keisuke!" Looking up as Ukyou began to stir he yelled out. "HEY KEISUKE! WHAT'RE YOU DOING IN EYGYPT?!"

"Huh? Whatcha bladderin about..." Ukyou mumbled she blinked owlishly. "Keisuke is in Nerima, and we're... where are we?" By now she saw the same people Ryouga saw. "Oh. Morning people." She seemed not to have noticed that Ryouga was carrying her, or she just didn't mind.

Happi-Chan took a post in the drivers seat. She was probably one of the few drivers on the bus, and she was the only one who knew where the ranch was at. She herded the kids into the bus and started on her way.

A few minutes later Happi stopped the bus next to a line of limos and helicopter, right outside the gates to the dude ranch. "We're here!"

Jim King was standing right at the gate. He was flanked by his fighting team and conversing with Kodachi and Mimiku. He turned toward the bus and smiled at his invited fighters.

"Welcome to the King Dude Ranch and Dojo, my friends." His Japanese was flawless.

Keisuke rolled off the top of the bus, where he had been sitting the whole ride to the ranch. Dusting himself off, he extended his hand to Mr. King. "Pleasure to meet you." he said to him, returning the surprise in flawless English, complete with the Texan accent.

Silk got off the bus and greeted the host in English that had a definite British accent, which made their host wonder just a little. But before she could say anything else she was grabbed by a pair of tall, blonde Americans, one babbling away in Chinese, the other in English. A young man and teenage girl, obviously siblings, probably twins, and Silk's friends by the sound of it.

Silk laughed as the boy picked her up and swung her around him, "Good to see you too, Cyan." she grinned, giving him a hug once he set her back on her feet. Then she hugged the girl, "You and Case are here for the tournament as well?" she asked them.

The pair nodded and said, in unison, "You got it, Silk."

Silk shook her head. "Typical." She turned towards the others from Nerima, who were getting off the bus, and a few of which were staring at her like she was crazy. "This is Cyan and Case Doret, my American friends from Hong Kong." The twins smiled. Even by Nerima standards, both were incredibly good looking. Cyan managed to make Alex looks plain, which is quite an accomplishment, and Case wore the blond beauty looks very well.

Wearily stepping off of the bus, Akane grabbed her heavy black suitcase and plopped it on the ground. Briefly introducing herself to Jim King, the tired Tendou listened shortly to the small conversations taking place between the owner and his invites before letting sleep take over her eyelids. Sitting underneath the shade of a large white porch filled with the scent of sweet magnolias in the air, Akane yawned, stretched her arms and rested lazily in a mahogany rocking chair. "If they need me... somebody will wake me up," she commented to herself while falling into a deep slumber.

Happi Chan jumped off the bus and smiled all around. She loved this little Ranch, she had some of the most run in this ranch.

She ran up and gave Jim King a huge hug. "hey there Jim." she started in accented English. "It's Happosai, man!"

Jim fainted when he heard what Happi Chan said.

Ryuu's eyes bugged out as he saw everyone get out of the bus and talk. Limping his way over there, he was about to greet them when Happi-Chan herded everyone into the bus quickly. Gaping as everyone totally ignored him and entered the bus he got angry and rushed toward it...only to be left in the dust. "DAMN YOU GUYS!" he shouted as he shook his fist in the air, "1st you hit me with the bus then you ignore me! UNFORGIVABLE!" Ryuu ran...err...quickly limped his way, following the dust trail left behind by the bus.

A few hours later Ryuu saw everyone gathered at what appeared to be a Western barn. He focused his chi and energy as he limped his way toward them. When he got close enough he muttered, "Kijin...Rai...shu..." and promptly fainted from the past 2-3 days exertions.

Keisuke turned around to see a very weary looking Ryuu Kumon lying facedown in the dirt. "Whoah, Ryuu!" Keisuke ran over and grabbed him by the arms. He dragged him over to the feet of Mr. King and dropped him. "Um, he's with us. Can you do anything for him?"

Fujiko walked off the bus, speaking in English. "At least pay his hospital expenses since he was injured because of the criminal negligence of one of your employees. Since your bus driver ran him over and then didn't even bother to stop...That's a hit and run. Civil trial could be veeeeeeerrrrry expensive..." She said with a grin while walking to Mr. King.

She continued to speak. "Mr. King, my name is Fujiko Tamamiru. I apologize for not getting off the bus sooner, but I was talking to my attorney." Fujiko handed Jim King a business card that featured the name of a very prominent and expensive lawyer from Dallas. "I have been advised that if I really suspect something isn't on the up and up to go ahead and file that lawsuit for 100 Million and he'll represent us. He also said feel free to lodge a complaint with your state's Attorney General. I really hope for your sake that you aren't trying to scam us."

Mimiku blinked, watching as the other members appeared, coming by bus, by land and by air. "Wow, this is going to be quite a turn-out." Looking over at the Ranch/Dojo owner and the American fighters, Mimiku appraised them.

The one with the odd yellow hair stood there with a smug expression on his face, likewise appraising the Japanese martial artists. He wore black leather and chains, looking like a rock star during a trip...and not the type that the martial artists were on. Cockily turning his head from side to side, he openly displayed a bandanna with "Tekken" emblazoned on it.

The man next to him was easy to tell. It was Johnny Cage, the well-known martial arts actor. He had done many a movie that worked its way even to Nerima. Mimiku watched him carefully, trying to gauge how much trick and how much truth the man of the shadows had to him. Johnny stood there, smiling behind his tell-tale sunglasses.

Kodachi was still standing beside Mimiku, but she too was appraising the fighters. Especially Johnny Cage, he was one handsome American. She never missed one of his movies, he was her favorite American actor.

"Excuse me Mim, I need to procure and autograph from Johnny." She stepped toward Johnny Cage with her Pen and a notebook. "Excuse me Mr. Cage, can I get your autograph?" She had a slight blush gracing her beautiful features.

Mimiku's jaw clenched involuntarily. He blinked, holding a hand up to the taut muscles. Why had that happened? Could it be that he was jealous of the American star?

Johnny Cage signed a picture of himself and gave it to Kodachi with a flourish. "There you go miss, It was a pleasure to meet you. " He glanced over Kodachi's shoulder and noticed that Mimiku was giving him the Jilted Boyfriend look. The handsome star was quite accustomed to it. He winked at Mimiku to assure him that there was nothing to be jealous about.

"Thank you Mr. Cage!" Kodachi practically beamed in her accented English. " I've always wanted to meet you. " She gave the star a quick hug and smiled as he walked back inside the ranch.

Alex finally returned from dropping his bags off, and making a phone call to some friends of his. He looked at the group of fellow Americans, and smiled when he saw Ken Masters, wearing his traditional red gi. "Oh yeah, this is going to be good." Alex then asked Mr. King, "Do you mind if a couple of friends come and watch? One of them is an old sensei of mine."

Jim King finally recovered from the overabundance of information. He was sure that Fujiko was serious, but since he hadn't charged them anything to participate and had even paid for their transportation, there was no way he could rip them off. They hadn't paid anything.

He smiled towards Alex. "Go ahead, boy, call all the friends that ya want. This here tournament is to attract people to the dojo, ya doing me a big favor by callin your pardners. "

A sweet Texas breeze gently tossed Akane's bangs while she rocked back and forth in the chair. "Hmmmmmmm," she murmured to herself, content with just resting on the porch. Closing her eyes once again, her ears picked up the faint sound of feet walking up the whitewashed steps. Ranma quietly sat down in the chair beside his fiancée, not wanting to stir her from her slumber. Akane peeked at him and smiled covering a small giggle with a soft yawn; it was times like these when she could actually tolerate the pig-tailed boy.

A cloud of green smoke appeared in mid-air, followed by the sound of someone screaming. Brush fell out of the cloud, landing heavily on Alex. She coughed out, "That isn't that the spell was supposed to do..." She looked around, and saw the others. "What are all of you doing in Jamurra?"

Happosai and Jim King both face-faulted when they saw Brush's entrance. Then they both laughed.

"Now That girl sure does know how to make an impression." Jim laughed at his little joke. "Now you kids sack out in the bunkhouse and get yourself's a little shut-eye, the tournament starts first thing tomorrow."

Ryuu groaned as he got to his feet shakily. He had woken up a few minutes ago so had heard that the bus incident hadn't been the Nerima groups fault.

But it still didn't get rid of the pain. Glaring at the Nerima's he headed toward the bunk house. He looked at the multiple bruises he had received from the spontaneous training trip and sighed. It was a good thing martial artists healed quickly otherwise he would have been worried. "Still," he thought, "It's going to be a painful night. A dozen hours at the most."

Alex got up, looking more surprised than hurt. "I think you botched the spell, dear. But, since you're here, maybe you should stay and watch the tournament."

As Alex helped Brush to her feet, a jeep was heard in the distance, racing towards the group. It stopped a few feet away from Alex, and two people got out.

The man, a bit shorter than Alex with dirty blonde hair, walked up to Alex and nodded to him. "Alex, it's been a while. Have you been working on those techniques I showed you?"

"Yes, Master Tailban. I think I'll have something interesting to show you later tonight." Everyone present could tell by the way the man moved that he was a martial artist. He had an aura around him that screamed 'wolf' to anyone who was sensitive to such things. But the really unusual one was the VERY well-built female. She had blue hair, a tail, and cat's ears on her head. She ran up to Alex and hugged him.

"Alex, I haven't seen you since you were a little boy! You're look all grown up now." She got a good whiff of Alex, and added, "And part cat? This is a new development."

"I got a curse in China, Felicia." was Alex's reply. Alex then turned to the others. "I'd like to introduce an old teacher of mine and his wife. Guys, meet John and Felicia Tailban. John, Felicia, these are my friends from Japan."

"He added as a whisper to John and Felicia, "You can change around them if you like. There're used to seeing shape-shifters all the time." One by one, Alex introduced the members of the Nerima cast to the werewolf and the catwoman.

Perfume smiled at the new couple. "Alex has some interesting friends."

Brush looked at the couple and Alex. "Only Alex would get to learn to fight from a werewolf." She was smiling also.

Ranma, who happened to be sleeping peacefully, was awakened by a very...VERY bad scent. He opened one eye and saw a werewolf. He opened the other and saw a woman. With pointy ears. And whiskers. And fangs. And a tail. "Ca..ca..ca..CAT!!" he screamed, jumping up and running away into the barn, seeking refuge.

Rinse was shuffling around a bit in the duffel bag next to Perfume's foot. He tried his best to keep silent but then heard Ranma say something about a cat. Fearing, he was caught, he quickly made a run for it, tearing a small hole in the bag and leaping out. The small blue kitten jumped out but smacked right into Perfume's foot.

Perfume glanced down at the interruption to her thoughts. She smiled when she saw the familiar Blue kitten at her foot. She picked him up and smiled right at him. "Hello Rinse Chan" she whispered to him. "Let's get you human again."

She reach into her duffel bag and pulled out a spare set of Rinse's clothes. (When you have Jusenkyou cursed friends you are always prepared.) She took the clothes and the aforementioned Kitten into the bathroom.

Akane awoke suddenly when a deafening scream stirred her from her slumber. Her eyes opened just in time to see a frightened Ranma running towards the barn. "Huh?" She questioned aloud while hesitantly rising from the comfy rocking chair. Glancing around the ranch, her search stopped at the visage of a curious couple in front of her. "A catwoman... Great! Now it's going to take forever to calm him down." Sighing heavily the young Tendou walked towards the barn only to find her fiancée hanging on to a beam at the highest loft. Deciding that words would not be the best approach to this situation, Akane merely climbed up the ladder and laid down upon the hay to continue her nap. "You're gonna have to come down sooner or later," she reminded him.

Meanwhile, during all of this action one of the ranch hands posted the pairings for the first round. Tomorrow's tournament was going to be very interesting.
