Nosferatu Gets Tattooed

As I pass half-century of life, I wonder what I’ve done with it. I have a failed marriage to show for it, but a lovely daughter. Some times it seems my job is going no where and I have made little contribution to the world in general, but looking back, I have touched the lives of many.

I was born on January 7, 1949, in Phoenix, AZ. When I was 6 our family moved with my parents to their hometown of Woodstock, IL. I lived there until graduating from Woodstock Community High School. It seemed that most of my High School years were spent in sports. I played football, (a 5’6” 145 guard) and lettered once. I swam (dove my freshman year and swam the 200 and 400 yd freestyles) and lettered 3 times. And I ran track (ran the 220, 440, 880, long jumped and pole-vaulted) 2 letters.

I left my family (mom, dad, brother and sister) in June of 1967 to attend Southern Illinois University, in Carbondale. I had applied to North Texas State University in Denton, but got no word from them till the middle of June so I finished out the summer secession at SIU. I went to North Texas and majored in Physical Education and a minor in Biology, getting my B. S. in December of 1971. Since I had gotten married in June of 1969 I stayed on to work on my Masters, which I got in May of 1973.

More later…or To be continued…………….

On March 22, 1999, my life changed my daughter Becky gave birth to Darayton Jayon
