About Tejano Bob: I live in Northwest Arkansas,
and I'm a semi-retired telecommunications instructor. My hobbies are desktop publishing, photostyling, RV
camping, and talking in sfwest's Boston Tea Party chat room.
I like books about history, Indians, and Mexico,
preferably written in Spanish. That way I can kill
two birds with one stone, enjoy reading, and improve
my Spanish vocabulary at the same time. I like country
and Mexican music and play both 6-string and 12-string
guitars. I like poetry, especially cowboy poetry, and
also the poetry of Ogden Nash.

Books recommended by Tejano Bob:
Dereliction of Duty by H. R.
McMaster - Lyndon Johnson, Robert McNamara, The
Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the lies that led to
Vietnam. Robert McNamara thought the war could be won
through statistical analysis. Lyndon Johnson thought
it could be won from Washington and lied to the
American people, the press, the JCS and his generals
in the field as he drug this country deeper and
deeper into the abyss.
Creek Mary's Blood by Dee Brown - An historical fiction about the Trail of Tears, the civil war, the Santa Fe Trail, the Sand Creek Massacre, and many other events.
Soldiers of the Night by David Shoenbrun - A great historical novel about the French Resistance.
Fire and Blood by T.R. Fehrenbach - A bold and definitive modern chronicle of Mexico.
Mexico in Flames by John Reed - John Reed's gripping eye-witness account from the front line of the Mexican Revolution.
Lone Star by T.R. Fehrenbach - A fascinating volume about the growth and development of Texas.
