Source: Sony XRC300 with changer controls, Ford 10 disc that was originaly FM modulated, but is actually just a CDX52r.

Signal Processing: Kicker X3i This was the replacement for a Sony M EQ. Front stage is set at 70hz and rear fill is 100hz. The subs come in at about 90hz. I really just wanted the "bass knob".

Front Stage: Soundstream PC2 passive crossovers with 5.1 5.25's in the doors. Pioneer 3 1/2" midranges are in the dash with Kicker ND13's mounted on the top of the door on the mirror cover.

Rear Fill: Boston 5x7's.

Subwoofers: Kicker Comp ZR C12d4 (4 ohm)

Amps: Kicker ZR240 bridged 2 ohm mono pushing the 2 12's. This amp is rated at 60wx2 or 240wx1@4ohm mono but tested at 358wx1@4ohm mono at the factory. 3 Sony EMX302's, (30x2 or 90x1). One amp pushes the left front stage, another the right, and the last pushes the rear fill.

Power Distribution: Soundquest battery terminals, Stinger fuse holder with Goldquest 100 amp fuse. Stinger 4 gauge power wire running to a Stinger fuse block. Battery is a Interstate MTP-65, altenator is AC Delco along with the starter. A unknown brand 1/2 farad capacity helps keep the power a little more stable, but a larger replacment is needed.

Box: Sealed, fires backward with 2 separate enclosures. I wish it fired forward still becuase I like to open the hatch, when the fired forward it resonated thru the car and in my opinion sounded better from the out side.

Complaints: Hatch still rattles even through it is full of sound deader. (great stuff=great mess)

Future Plans: Upgrade front stage to MB Quart Referenz PSC 213, and put the Soundsream's in the rear. Then to a new deck and changer.

8/00 I pulled all of the stereo equipment out and installed all of the OE peices. I am in process of putting a system in the Si which is now my daily driver. As for the 5.0 it handles much better and has trouble finding traction in 2nd even with 245/45/16's eagles on the back. Funny what 100 lbs can do over the rear tires. (or lack of)
