Selena Perez infulenced many people's lives. She had a great spirit that made the world seem brighter. Selena was Mexican-American.
In 1994 selena produced the album, "Como la flor." It hit #1 on the charts. After a few years she decided to switch languages and begin to produce and perform songs in English with the help of her band, "Selena y nos dinos."
In March 1995 she went to a small motel in Corpus Christie to retrieve some lost files from her fan club president Yolanda Saldivar. Yolanda had been accused of stealing money from the fan club for her own spendings.
When Selena arrived at the motel, she was murdered. Shot to death by Yolanda . Yolanda then locked herself in her truck pleading that she didn't deserve to live, while holding a gun to her own head. She did not commit suicide.
Yolanda is currently in prison but a final judgement and sentence on this tragic case has not been reached. Selena was a remarkable woman with so much more life to live and music to produce. She will live in the hearts of many people across the world.
