DOUGLAS BLAKNEY, 66, died on April 17, 2002 at the Eastland
Memorial Hospital. Burial was in the Alameda Cemetery in
Ranger.
Mr. Blakney was born on October 3, 1935 in Navarro County,
TX, to Frank Blakney and Lucille Mesker-Willingham. He
was a life long resident of Ranger. He was married to Mary
Lou Foreman (RHS-1952). He was a blacksmith and welder. He
was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors at the time of his death are his wife, Mary Blakney
of the home; three daughters and sons-in-law, Marlinda and
Manuel Hernandez of Ranger, Mary Blakney and Jerry Blackwell
of Ranger, and Jana and Billy Guess of Ranger; two sisters,
Linda Moak of Houston and Joyce Grubbs of Eastland; grand-
children, Tammy Bernard (RHS-1990) of Ranger, James Nichols
of Cleburne, Brandy White of Cleburne, Aaron Nichols of
Ranger, Mandi Bethece of Ranger and Doug Kammerer of Ranger;
nieces and nephews.
