ANGELITA HELEN CASTRO GOMEZ, 67 of Ranger passed away
on February 5, 2009. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery,
Ranger, TX.
Helen was born on February 19, 1940 in Ranger, to Jose
and Maria (Abanado) Castro. She grew up in Ranger
and married Roy F. Gomez in May of 1958, he preceded
her in death on April 6, 1998. Helen was a member of St.
Rita Catholic Church. Helen was preceded in death by a
son LeeRoy Gomez (RHS-1982), five brothers Manuel, Victor,
Marcus, Frank, Valetine, & a sister Julia Acosta and a
grandson Justin Lee Jones.
Helen is survived by her children; Delores Jones (RHS-1976),
Elvera Taylor (RHS-1977), and Tammy Hodnett (RHS-1985)
and husband Heath all of Ranger. A brother Joe Castro of
Royce City, three sisters Lupe Rodgrizuez of Cedar Hill,
Caroline Martinez and Rosa Waltman both of Ranger, two
grandsons Michael Gomez and Halsten Hodnett and great-
grandson Michael Lee Roy Gomez. Numerous nieces & nephews.
