LINNIE JAYNE ROGERS, 89, of Ranger, passed away on May 28,
2004 in Ranger. Burial was in Alameda Cemetery near Ranger.
Mrs. Rogers was born on November 5, 1914 near Proctor,
Texas to Charles Montgomery and May (Childers) Rodgers.
She attended the Alameda School and married Alvin Rogers
in 1941 in Ranger. She was a housewife, mother, and also
worked for the Green Thumb Organization. She was a longtime
member of the Second Baptist Church where she was Church
Clerk for ten years.
Mrs. Rogers is survived by her son, Alfred Rogers (RHS-1960)
of Austin; brother, Pete (W.R.) Rodgers of Eastland; and
numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by
her parents, husband, and siblings, Bessie Foreman, Clyde
Rodgers, Marzie High, Florence Yancey, Winnie Yardley, Lee
Roy Rodgers, Dot Russell, and Dee Rodgers.
