FREDERICK "FRED" DOYLE CEARLEY, 69, passed away on May 12, 2003, with burial at Elmwood Park Cemetery. Fred Cearley was born Oct. 29, 1933 in Anson, TX, son of J. Doyle & Mertie Cearley. He served in the U.S. Army after graduating high school in Abilene. He received an Associate Degree in Arts at Ranger Jr. College. He worked at Bell Helicopter, for 31 years in Hurst, TX, retiring in July 1997, returning to Abilene. Mr. Cearley was a 32nd Degree member of the Hurst Texas Masonic Lodge. Fred was preceded in death by his greatest pride--daughter Toki Fran; and both of his parents. Survivors at the time of his death include his brother and sister-in-law, Ronny and Fay Cearley of Whitney, TX; a nephew, Kerry Cearley of Elkhart, IN; a niece, Jana Black of Whitney; grand-nephews, Nathan Pass and Brent Cearley; grand-nieces, Jessica and Ashley Cearley; & a fraternal brother, C.W. Smith; and many friends who loved and appreciated Fred for his giving, good nature.
