Tom Peebles THOMAS EZRA "TOM" PEEBLES, III, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, went home to be with the Lord on March 2, 2012, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery at Ranger, TX. He was born on Jan. 20, 1945 in Oak Cliff, TX, to Thomas Ezra, Jr. & Betty Thomas Peebles. He taught welding at Ranger Jr. College for over 37 years. He married Martha Castro (RHS-1979) in Aug. of 1999 in Ranger. He was preceded in death by his first wife: Susan Ruggles Peebles; his parents; and his sister, Bobby Wolens. Tom was a member of Harmony Baptist Church, the Lone Cedar Country Club, the Ranger School Board, the Keepers Car Club of Clyde, and was a Master Mason. He loved golf, working on his ’55 Chevy, to hunt and fish, and yard work. He was a fabricator extraordinaire and was an expert welder. He was a veteran of the Air Force. Tom was such a positive person and witness to Christ. He witnessed to many throughout his life including his final moments at Abilene Regional Hospital. Survivors at the time of his death include his wife: Martha Peebles of Ranger; sons; Thomas E. Peebles, IV (RHS-1989) and wife Amber of Ranger, and Pee Wee Peebles (RHS-1992) and wife Kyle of Tesnus, TX; daughter: Megan Dame (RHS-2002) and husband Brody of Abilene; brother: John Peebles of Duncanville; sister: Sally Gray of Frisco; grandchildren: Gage Choate, Rance Choate, Kayleigh Peebles, Levens Peebles, Hayden Peebles, and Harper Dame.
