Ranger Exes Memorial - The Faculty

Frances Wilhelm FRANCES MILDRED CORNELIUS WILHELM, 85 passed away on Nov. 19, 2002, with burial was at Elmwood Memorial Park in Abilene, TX. Frances Wilhelm was born on Nov. 30, 1916, in Kingsville, TX. She was a graduate of Abilene High School & McMurry College. Mrs. Wilhelm began a 36 year teaching career in a one-room classroom on the Miller Ranch in West Texas. She taught first grade for most of her career and also served as principal of Hodges Oak Park in Ranger, TX, before moving to Austin. Upon her retirement from teaching in 1980, she moved to Brownwood, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Samuel Wilhelm in 1972, and her sister, Celia Inez Harvey, in 1993. At the time of her death, she is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Eddie and Martha Cornelius of Ruidoso, New Mexico; daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Bryden Moon of San Antonio; son, Larry Wilhelm (RHS-1965) of Ranger; son, Richard Wilhelm (RHS-1961) of Brownwood; grandsons, Cooper Wilhelm, Danny Wilhelm and David Wilhelm; great- grandchildren, Nikki and John Daniel Wilhelm; nieces, Patti Warren, Diane Sanchez & Peggy Rutherford of New Mexico; nephews, Michael, Bill and John Cornelius of New Mexico and Ron Wilhelm of Dallas.
